Savannah and Alex/ Oak Hills Country Club/San Antonio, TX/ March 9, 2013

March 14, 2013

Savannah and Alex celebrated their wedding at Our Lady Of Grace Church with a reception following at  Oak Hills Country Club in San Antonio, TX on March 9, 2013.

The bride carried a lush bouquet of Vendela Roses, fragrant Gardenia, Ivory spray roses and pearl embellished Stephanotis.  A light cascade extended down using delicate ivy runners with individual blossoms of ivory spray roses and pearled stephanotis.

Entry doors to the reception were flanked by two large topiaries filled with lush flowers of orange spray roses, deep royal purple lisianthus, orange dahlias, pincushion protea, red gerberas, roses, and purple calla lily.  Each topiary was flanked by cream pillar candles lining the walkway to the entry creating a very romantic ambiance.

As guested entered into the main ballroom half of the guest tables boasted tall mercury glass vases with beautiful orange, purple, and red flowers of orange spray roses, purple calla lily, orange tulips, red gerberas, citron green hydrangea, and purple lisianthus, with the other half of the tables filled with complementing arrangements in grouped shorter mercury glass vases.  All the tables were filled with a collection of mercury glass candle votives.

The bride’s cake was the centerpiece of the room,  with a double winding cascade of flowers and red roses between the layers. As if this was not enough, the table itself was placed under a huge fresh floral chandelier.  Beautiful but….. the buzz that evening was the groom’s cake, a tribute to his beloved dog Tucker.

A special thanks to the always talented David Sixt Photography, Cakes by Cathy Young, Raemie Brigman with Cover That Up,  and Debbie with Oak Hills Country Club.
